SalesOutlook Tackles Mid-Market CRM
With Exchange Server 2003 and “Common Sense”
June 2, 2003 - Roswell, GA
SalesOutlook, Inc. – the pioneer of customer
relationship management (CRM) technology for Microsoft Outlook,
Office and Exchange Server – today announced that it successfully
completed its Exchange Server 2003 testing for its flagship
product, SalesOutlook, the “common sense” CRM solution for
small and mid-market enterprises.
When combined with the enhanced security,
manageability and scalability of Exchange 2003, SalesOutlook
enables organizations – whether small or large – to extend
the functionality of the basic collaboration tools offered
“out of the box” in Microsoft Outlook, Office and Exchange
Server to provide a rich and streamlined user experience
for knowledge workers that use CRM sofware. SalesOutlook’s
common sense approach puts easy to use CRM functionality
at the fingertips of every information worker whether they
are inside Outlook, Word or Excel whether they are working
offline or connected to the corporate Intranet or the world
wide web.
Tradition of Success is Built on Microsoft
Exchange and Office SalesOutlook is an established player
in the CRM market, and it is as easy to use as email. It
made its entry into the CRM space in 1998 when it was named
a “Must See” application at the 1998 Microsoft Exchange
Conference (MEC 1998). Since its version 1.0 debut at MEC
1998, SalesOutlook has continued to evolve to integrate
simple, affordable and effective “common sense” CRM functionality
into Microsoft Outlook, Office and Exchange Server so that
users can execute their enterprise CRM strategy without
ever having to leave the Microsoft Office interface or environment.
At the MEC Conference in 2002, SalesOutlook
3.5e was honored as the “Best of CRM” in the People’s Choice
Awards sponsored by MSD2D.com. With SalesOutlook installed,
the user’s Microsoft Office applications become the user
interface of a simple, affordable and effective CRM technology
solution, and users quickly benefit from CRM technology
without having to endure the learning curve typical with
other leading CRM software products.
Exchange Server 2003 Offers Significant
Advancements Exchange Server 2003 further expands on the
many compelling features found in Exchange 2000 by offering
improved stability, better manageability and even greater
scalability. In addition, Exchange 2003 enables many different
types of mobile devices to synchronize data directly with
the server thereby eliminating the two-step synchronization
process previously required to sync mobile devices with
Outlook and then Outlook with Exchange Server. This new
ActiveSync for Exchange 2003 reduces the time, effort and
resources required to support mobile users while improving
anytime, anywhere, any device access to email and other
important information.
“Exchange Server 2003 is an excellent
platform for CRM,” states David Asta, Vice President of
Development for SalesOutlook, Inc. He continues, “Exchange
offers a robust, XML-powered data management engine that
is both secure and scalable. Since most organizations already
own, support and use Microsoft’s Exchange and Office products,
it makes a lot of sense to leverage an organiziation’s existing
collaboration platform to deliver a powerful set of CRM
capabilities to the user.”
Nicholas Latsos, SalesOutlook, Inc.’s
Vice President of Sales points out, “CRM is all about collaborating
with customers, co-workers and Partners. Exchange, Outlook
and Office provides the required infrastructure for collaboration
and SalesOutlook leverages that infrastructure to deliver
CRM functionality in a common sense way.” Mr. Latsos concludes,
“Exchange Server 2003 will expand on that and enable SalesOutlook
to create an even more compelling business case for CRM
in organizations of any size or type, especially for those
in the middle market. Microsoft Exchange Server and Office
products are the cornerstone of our highly successful ‘Common
Sense’ CRM philosophy and approach.”
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, the next
major release following Exchange 2000, boosts information
worker productivity through ubiquitous access to business-critical
messaging and calendaring information, as well as enhancements
in security, manageability, availability and reliability
to help further drive down TCO.
“SalesOutlook has made a commitment to
providing customers with a compelling CRM offering to the
middle market that is simple, affordable and effective.
It provides organizations with new capabilities that help
them more easily collaborate and interact with customers,
colleagues and business partners to find and cultivate relationships,”
said Chris Baker, group product manager for Exchange at
Microsoft Corp. “Through the support of industry partners
such as SalesOutlook, our customers can extend the capabilities
of the Exchange and Office platforms.”
